Extractor Fan | Condensation | Mould | Ventilation

Condensation accounts for more than 70% of damp problems in dwellings!

Mechanical Ventilation in the form of Extractor Fans and Positive Input Ventilation will deal with Condensation dampness which is the result of too much moisture in the air generated by bathing, showering and even breathing.  Most homes will experience condensation dampness with condensation on windows, mould on walls, damp surfaces and musty smells being tell-tale signs.

While Extractor fans take excess moisture from the air, is also vital to keep the air in your house fresh. The solution to poor Ventilation is Positive Input Ventilation (PIV). Our PIV Units are sophisticated whole home ventilation and condensation control units. By drawing in fresh, filtered and clean air from outside, the units gently ventilate the home from a central position on a landing in a house or the central hallway in a flat or bungalow. Moisture laiden air is diluted, displaced and replaced to control humidity levels between 45-60%. This significantly reduces or eliminates surface condensation, the main cause for mould growth.

With lower humidity levels, dust mite populations are also substantially reduced to provide a significant improvement in the health of asthma sufferers and general indoor air quality.
