Ventilation

/Ventilation
  • How important is Loft Ventilation? As with other rooms in the house, condensation in the loft is caused by excess moisture in the air and a lack of adequate air ventilation. Roof vents have been covered or blocked by storage boxes or other items stockpiled in the loft. Loft ventilation works alongside the insulation in your loft to maximise heat recovery whilst ventilating excess moisture to reduce condensation and ensure your property maintains the best air quality.
  • Envirovent Mechanical Extract Ventilation System – MEV Spider The MEV Spider from EnviroVent is a low energy, continuous mechanical extract ventilation system designed with multiple extract points to simultaneously draw moisture-laden air out of the wet rooms, whilst minimising the migration of humidity to other rooms. Innovative and low energy, the MEV Spider has been designed to provide continuous mechanical extract ventilation in accordance with current building regulations.
  • Features & Benefits:

    • Year round ventilation and the optimum indoor temperature - integral sensors and automatic control adjusts fan operation to maximise heat recover or summer cooling.
    • Cures condensation dampness - PIV removes humidity from the air, preventing mould growth and controlling dust-mite allergens.
    • Improves indoor air quality - indoor pollutants from cooking and cleaning are removed while outdoor pollutants including traffic fumes, pollen and Radon gas are kept out.
    • Meets Regulations - meets Part F & L of Building Regulations as a low-energy ventilation strategy.
    • Intelligent heat recovery - twin sensors optimise energy-efficiency
    • Low power consumption - additional heat can help lower household energy usage
    • Easy installation and very low maintenance - filter clean or replacement every five years
    • Optional boost switch - when additional ventilation is required
    • Health benefits - clinically proven to help allergy and asthma sufferers.
    • 5 year warranty - for peace of mind.
  • Meets Regulations:
    Part F & L of Building Regulations
Scottish Building Regulations for intermittent bathroom extract fans
BRE digest 398 under continuous mechanical extract ventilation.
Meets minimum fan power requirements in 'Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide'
Silent Running - Utilising market-leading motor and impeller technology to produce the quietest of fans.
Quick and Easy Installation and Maintenance - Clip in, push-fit components ensure reduced time on site.

  • Based on the popular and low-energy Positive Input Ventilation principle which Nuaire invented in 1972, the Flatmaster 2000 range has been specifically designed to ventilate homes without lofts. The unit is fitted with an integral heater which can provide additional heating when required during very cold weather. The PIV system introduces air into the home at a continuous low rate, eliminating condensation dampness and forcing our indoor pollutants such as Radon gas and carbon monoxide. The results are a fresh and healthy indoor environment. The aesthetically pleasing and compact unit is usually situated in a convenient location, such as a kitchen cupboard or hallway, and is ducted to a central location. Multi-positional spigots allow for quicker installation with only one external wall penetration.
